How to mark email on blackberry as read from outlook?

When I open an email on my blackberry it will mark it as read in my outlook inbox, this is ok. However, if I open the email in outlook first it will not mark it as read on my blackberry. Can this be done? We are using an exchange server to manage email but we do not have blackberry enterprise server.

here's no way to do it. Only the other way around is possible. Once the email hits your berry, you have to manually mark it read. This is the same with BIS and BES.
