What is the difference between a blackberry and a blackberry smart phone?
I'm thinking of getting a blackberry but I just wanted to ask that question.
RIM (Research In Motion; the company that makes Blackberry) only makes BlackBerry smart-phones, NOT basic phones. What exactly are you trying to compare? If you are trying to compare regular phones to BlackBerrys, well BlackBerrys require a data plan (you already know I assume lol) so having the internet handy is very useful (Facebook app, Chase mobile etc.), also when you text (sms and mms) it is similar to IM style messaging w/ the added feature of spell check. Hope this kinda helped lol anyways Good Luck!

How can i send emails from my blackberry without the 'Sent using BlackBerry®' sign showing?
How can i send emails from my blackberry without the 'Sent using BlackBerry®' sign showing in the recipients email? Is there a way to disable this?
You need to log in to your provider's Blackberry web page, where you can change/remove the Blackberry signature.
Can I use the blackberry storm in a different country with a sim card from THAT country?
I basically want to know if the blackberry storm is GSM and if it can be unlocked... I know Verizon phones usually can not be unlocked, but there are exceptions such as the "Blackberry World Edition"
I need help because I travel frequently and need a phone that I can simply insert a local sim card in and be good.

How much confidentiality do you have when using Blackberry Messenger on company device?
I have just installed Messenger on my company Blackberry. Can my company track my messages? Can others track my messages? Can anyone track what I send or whom I send it to?
Yes, of all the systems that I've worked on - The BlackBerry is the most manageable... You wouldn't believe just how much control you have over the devices themselves...
They can be locked, wiped, reset and controlled remotely.. The amount of auditing options that you have is amazing..
I can disconnect your bluetooth Headset whilst you're on the road - I can turn your camera off, but make it look like it's still working. I can get a report of when you've turned the thing on and off..
And if you've got one of the new 8300's - I can tell where it is anytime of the day or night.
So.. to answer your question, yes - One you have a BlackBerry.. you are your Admins *****
Of course, it's all up to your admin - But if I were you.. I'd be afraid... very afraid

My blackberry curve wont charge even if the plug sign is showing on the screen. How do i fix it?
My blackberry curve has been plugged for 4 hours and the plug sign is on the screen but the battery is still at 5% even if i dont use the phone. What could be wrong and how could i fix it? Thanks!
Sounds like there is a good chance you have a bad battary. I would suggest going into your local carriers store and see if they have one you can test and if that fixes the issue purchase a new battery.

What do i do with a Blackberry thats been deactivated by the owner?
I found a blackberry pearl phone about 3 months ago. The Owners deactivated it by the time i had found the phone. It had a low battery and it has now been dead for months. I have no use of the phone.
Even though it has been months should i still try to return the phone to the owner?
Well It's been far too long to return it if the service was suspended.
just take out the sim card and use your own.

How do you download stuff on your blackberry pearl?
I have a blackberry pearl and a 8gb micro SD card in it. When I download stuff using the desktop manager onto the blackberry pearl it does not appear on the phone after I disconnect it from the computer. Do I need to format the memory card some how and then can I download stuff on it using the desktop manager. Or is there another easier way of putting stuff onto my blackberry pearl. If there is can you please guide me with step-by-step instructions on how to do it.
It isn't very often that you need to format the SD cards as they usually always come formatted and all. Just to make sure you can format it anyway. To do this go to Settings > Advanced Options > Media Card. You then click the Blackberry/Menu button and select Format Card.
Don't worry about using the Desktop Manager software - this only complicates a simple task. Instead plug your Blackberry into your computer and on your Blackberry it will ask you to turn on Mass Storage, click Yes. On your PC go to My Computer and under Devices with Removable Storage there will be a drive which is your media card. Double click this and then move you downloads into the appropriate folders (Music, Video etc.)

How come Blackberry has never made a design like the Nokia communicator or like other flip/phones?
I have not been impressed with any of the designs Blackberry has to offer, and same goes for the iTouch/iPhone. Granted their features are smart and very cool. But if BB made a Nokia communicator-type phone I would buy it without hesitation!
Because BBs are more for business than anything else. Its really functionality over design. However, the newed devices are both technologically advance and esthetically pleasing as compared to other devices.
Businesses don't use Nokias or iPhones as data devices. They use Treo's or BBs
BB has a flip called Peral Flip and it also has a Touch Screen phone called Storm

How to put iTunes into a Blackberry Pearl and more problems?
I want to put in my iTunes songs into my blackberry pearl
I have a 2GB media card already. But every time i connect my phone to the computer, and when i use the Blackberry Media Sync an error comes out and says "The connected Blackberry device required mass storage mode to be enabled manually, please do so from your device and click Retry."
Also, i already went to my options/settings and turned off the enable automatically.
Please help!!

As the music in iTunes is encrypted with DRM, you cannot directly put it on any non-Apple MP3 player. The easiest way is to burn the music to an audio CD and then rip it back to Windows Media Player or a similar program as an MP3. Or you can get some software to help you. I use TuneClone to do this. Though not free, it is very well worth a try.

I am on a friends computer and am not sure if there is a way to get pictures off of my Blackberry Curve without having the desktop manager. I have a cord that connects my laptop to my Blackberry, but that's it. I also do not have any special card's with extra memory-just the memory that came with my Blackberry. Thanks!
if you have a data plan, you can E-mail the pictures to yourself and download them on the computer.
