BBC is offering free news and sport applications for mobile phone users. Starting in April 2010, iPhone, iTouch, and eventually Blackberry and Android users will be able to enjoy breaking news and broadcast content from the BBC website on their mobile phones. In addition, to the news application, a free sport application will be available on the iPhone. Users will be able to view on-demand clips of sporting events. Users will also be able to access live text commentaries from BBC presenters. This application will be available for Blackberry and Android users later this year.
