AT&T To Pointlessly Release OS 4.6.0.304 For The BlackBerry Bold 9000 On May 18 & 19 [Rumor]

How’s that for an epic fail? According to this internal AT&T document, BlackBerry Bold 9000 users running either OS 4.6.0.167 or 4.6.0.297 on a BlackBerry Personal Plan will receive an update notification on May 18 and 19. Is it OS 5.0 you ask? No. It’s OS 4.6.0.304.

Keep in mind that the latest official OS for the Bold 9000 is 5.0.0.592, the latest leaked is 5.0.0.610. Is the release of OS 4.6.0.304 pointless? You bet it is even though AT&T might think it isn’t. I know there are many of you that prefer using only your carrier’s official OS version and this little bit of news will probably change that if you’ve been waiting for an update.
